2012: Dear Friends, I will be away on vacation for all of June. I have set my account to inactive. If the card arrives before my travels I will register it. If the card arrives during my travels I will register my card as soon as I get back. Thank you!

I like to make things, mostly usable items like soap, knitting, cheese, beer, books, sewing, painting, spinning, etc. I am interested in self sufficiency. I like all kinds of post cards, animals are my favorite, but any will be appreciated. I have just discovered Faux Postage. What a riot! I'll be sending these on all my cards from now on.

Please no nudity. I get my mail at my office and nudity is not appropriate in the workplace.

My quick preference list is: animals, plants, flowers, single view landscapes, recipes (please translate if necessary). I like funny cards. There is only one card I like unwritten and in an envelope, and that is Inge Löök. I have a wall collection of her Old Ladies. I want to be an Inge Löök Old Lady when I grow up. ;-)

Otherwise, please write on the card. If you aren't sure what to write, please tell me the days of the week you receive mail and if you get it delivered to your home or if you must go to the post office. We obviously share a common interest in getting/sending mail so tell me what it is like where you live. I get mail Monday through Friday, my mail is held at the post office on Saturdays and no delivery is made on Sundays.

I have my own Mailer's Postmark Permit (MPP) and I can cancel my own outgoing mail (hand cancel the stamps). If you collect postmarks please let me know.

My avatar is a Pasque Flower. It blooms every spring and is beautiful showing through the last of the snow. The leaves are fern like and the seed heads remind me of Horton Hears a Who! and the tiny planet containing Whos and Who-ville. The Pasque Flower is the State Flower of South Dakota.

PS: If it has taken 10 days for US Mail, or 30 days from outside the US, please drop me a note. I will do something about getting your card registered. I know what it is like to have someone not register a card, especially when they just no longer log in.

PPS: If you would like a card that has a special Postmark, please send me a card with your address. Addresses that are printed or typed are the easiest for me to read. Help me get a card back to you by not using a funky font when printing, think Arial or Times.
Instead of a Postcrossing ID, please print POSTCROSSING REQUEST on the card. This way I will know that I'm not looking for a forgotten ID. Thanks!
