Hello,
I am a teacher and love learning about people and their environment. I have been married 37 years and we have 2 married sons that are incredibly awesome and two daughter-in-laws that are so beautiful in heart and spirit. They are the daughters that God promised me. Our oldest son and daughter-in-law live 7 miles from us and they had our 1st grandchild; a girl two years ago. Our youngest son and his wife live in central Illinois. She finished her 3rd degree two years ago from college and he just finished his 3rd degree. I taught preschool for 24 years but I did not have a degree so I went back to college to further my education. At the age of 58, I got my degree in teaching elementary education. I tell you this because if you put your heart and soul into it, you can accomplish anything at any age.
We have 3 cats that keep us wonderful company. My hobbies include watching good movies, learning about history, nature, hiking, biking, gardening and crafting.
You choose whatever type of postcard you would like to send. I will enjoy hearing about you or your town or country. I would appreciate it if you could write on your card the date that you are sending it and the weather such as the temperature, snow, lots of rain etc. The picture on my avatar was taken from my backyard looking across the pond. This was taken in the fall and you can see in the sky the storm off to the east. The sky made a beautiful contrast to the sunlight in the west casting a glow on the trees.
If you have sent me a postcard and I have not registered it within a reasonable amount of time, please, please send me a message and let me know. I am ordinarily a very organized person but sometimes things can get hectic and I can loose track of registering. I apologize and certainly don't want you to have an expired postcard on account of me. It makes me sad for all of the expired cards I have on my list. I don't know if it's a result of our postal system, your postal system or people loosing track of registering but either way, it makes me sad. I get so excited when someone has received my postcard. I love postcrossing.
