About Maarit...

Hi! Terve!

I am Maarit (51 years old) from Finland.
My home town is Turku which is very famous for its harpour. Turku is about 1000 years old and it was the capital of Finland before the great Fire in 1827.

I live in downtown of Turku and Turku is also famous for its seven hills. The world´s biggest ships have been built here and they have been sold as Caribian Cruisers to USA. There are in Finland also Nokia, the large mobilephone company. The factories are situated all over the world and mostly in China, because there are the largest markets.

My hobbies are litterature, swimming in the sea, also in winters (whit sauna), my cats and good food and with a glass of wine(sometimes.)

I have painted quite a lot and very many persons have said: "You are good at it." I am a painter and I have sold quite a lot of my works.

I would like to get art cards of famous painters of your country
Also selfmade and cards are wellcommed. Actually I prefer art cards.

From the Netherlands I wish to get some Jip and Jannele- card and other childrenbook illustrations and of cource van Gogh and Rembrant- cards. From Estonia I would like to get Navitrolla.

My special interests are Asian: like Japan; the art of Hokusai, Fuji-mountain, sumo-wrestling, sakura, temples, makaki-ape, kimono or what ever you like...

China: Beiging, trensportation, accomondations, seleprations, the old chinece opera(!), nature; birds and panda! and so on...,Sanghai or other eldery cities, towns and villages, mountains.

Taiwan, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Thailand I like mostly art and sceanery.

Last but not the least: Australia; koala, kenguru (and other animals, like birds!), pygmins, Sydney, Melbourne, Tasmania. And of cource the sea: fish, korals - or what ever you want to send here upp to the North.

Here is living the real Santa Claus. And where the real Moomin lives, in Naantali, here near by Turku.
