About Masil...

Hello from Seattle, Washington in the U.S.

I adore sending and receiving mail the old-fashioned way, particularly postcards.
I think that sending a postcard is an easy and fun way to brighten somebody's day.
It is a simple & lovely gesture to let a person know that somebody took a moment to think about them.
And who doesn't love that feeling when you open your postbox and see a postcard just for you?

I sometimes collage or decoupage the back of my postcards rather than writing something.
I also like to attach stickers, another one of my favorite things.

I often send postcards to my friends anonymously, especially when I am out of town so it will have a postmark that is not local, and therefore harder to figure out who sent it.

The kinds of postcards that I like:
vintage or have a vintage look (the 1970s is my favorite decade)
funny/silly,
black & white photographs,
colorful & bright,
food and drink,
quirky, whimsical, kitschy
just plain weird and bizarre...if you've questioned whether something was too strange to send, then feel free to send it my way! (for example, I have a set of postcards that are black and white photos of female body builders from the 1980s and lots of Bunny Suicide postcards..message me if you would like me to send you one!)
Honestly though, I just like getting & sending postcards and adding to the collection on my refrigerator door so please send me whatever you like.

Take care & happy postcrossing,

~masil
