About Marieke...

Hi I'm Marieke, 27 years old. I live with my husband Mitchel and dog (a shih tzu) Sjakie in the Netherlands.

I started postcrossing in 2011, I took a break but now I'm back. I'm missing some fun mail in my mailbox! :-D

A little bit about me:
My absolute favourite hobby is to crochet. I love it and try to do it every day. This year I started a 'granny square a day' project. Everyday of this year I'm crocheting a granny square and at the end of the year I'll have a blanket. You can see a progress shot in my avatar :-)
Next to this granny a day project I'm also crocheting a Mario and Yoshi blanket from granny squares and last year I discovered graphghans which I love to make! I made 3 graphghans so far, but I'm sure I'll crochet more :-)
I'm a creative bee, you can see all of it on my blog: http://www.madebymriek.nl/

My other hobbies are; photography, postcrossing, reading books and playing games (board games and video games, especially Mario games). At this moment I'm into playing Yoshis Woolly World on the Wii U. It has two of my hobbies combined, crocheting and gaming!

I love sending and recieving postcards! It's so nice to get a postcard and to take the time to read it and looking at it! At the other hand is it so lovely to select a postcard for someone in the world, writing it, and as I walk my dog Sjakie, posting it in the mailbox.

Postcards I like to recieve;
I would really really love to get postcards with crochet and or amigurumi. Especially colorful crochet, that's my favorite!
You can also make me happy with cards from Nintendo (like Mario and Yoshi), Harry Potter, cards with pics of San Fransisco (I think I love that city thanks to Full House ;-)), lali cards, where is Wally/Waldo, colourful cards (I love the colours of the rainbow), cards with cupcakes and sweets, ballet cards (I used to do a lot of ballet when I was younger) and cards about sending postcards (mailboxes, sending/recieving postcards).
Any colorful, cheerful and/or loving card is wonderful!
You can look at my favourites postcard wall to see what I like :-) http://www.postcrossing.com/user/meMriek/gallery/favourites

I prefer cards without an envelope.

Please no tourist cards, map cards, religious cards, holiday cards like Easter or Christmas. Thanks!

Please write something about yourself the card. Like your hobbies, what do you do on a day and what your dream is.

I'm looking forward to the postcard you select for me and reading about you! :-)

I can't wait untill my mailbox is happy! ;-)

Happy postcrossing!
