Hi!

My name is Marcelo. I was born in 1971, and I live in Madrid, Spain. If you're reading this, chances are that you will be sending me a postcard, so I'll try to get you to know me a little bit.

I work as a software engineer in an internet company. I'm an amateur photographer, you can check out my website if you're curious about what I photograph: http://www.marceloroyan.com/. Besides photography, I love to travel. I also enjoy reading very much, and I'm crazy about music. My favorite band of all times is The Cure, and one of the best books I've read lately is Suite Française, by Irène Nemirovsky. My last trip, during the summer of 2011, was to Poland. I loved it, it's a beautiful country, full of personality and history. I've also been to Vietnam, Japan, Thailand, India (I love Asia, and I return there as often as I can), the US, South Africa, Morocco, Canada, France, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Portugal, the UK, the Netherlands, Hungary, Czech Republic, Austria, Slovenia... Yeah, I love to travel!

I prefer summer to winter, heat to cold, grey tones to black or white, the internet to TV, train stations to airports, and real to fake. But also dreams to reality! I like the feeling of the sun in my face. I also like feeling the rain in my face. I like to go to the beach, specially in winter, and to the mountain, specially in summer. I like the smell of the sea, of pine-trees, of coffee and toasts in the morning, of feminine perfume. I like the sound of crickets in hot summer nights, the sound of walking over fresh snow, the soft and rhythmic sound of ballet dancers' steps while on stage, and the powerful sound that planes make when they take off.

I don't like umbrellas and I don't like politicians :)

I will like any postcard you choose for me, specially if it has your personal touch, but my preferences are art and photography related cards. I also like cards showing street life and people, and handmade cards. I like less multi-view cards or those showing just monuments, so you can send me one of these but then you have to balance it with more of your personal touch, and with lots of words! ;-) If you hesitate on what to write, you can tell me about your day, or about your last night dream, or you can plainly tell me what you like the most about life! :-)
