About Marlien...

Hi!

I am an 31-year old girl from the city Utrecht in the Netherlands, although I'm originally from the countryside in the north of the Netherlands. I am an ecologist, which means I get to spent lots of time to play outside, in the field. I absolutely love nature, birds, trees and especially bats!

Other things I like are cooking, reading, collecting books, running, cycling, (ice)skating, history&arts (especially Jugendstil), going to the museum, sitting in the park with a book. My favourite (holiday) country is the UK, my favourite colours green, orange and purple.

I'm very interested in meeting new people and I always wonder about the simple details of everyday life, that might be totally different, or exactly the same, between cultures en countries.

Please write something on the cardm, I really appreciate that! You can tell me about your everyday life: eg what did you do today, how do you/your family/country celebrate holidays/special days, how does your public transport work, what is your favorite holiday-place? Or write the title of your favorite book, or your favorite quote. Write the recipe of your favorite of best local dish... I'm very interested in the person behind the card!

Any (post)card is welcome; hand-made, normal, big, small, with or without envelope; all are welcome! I like many topics. Suprise me with something silly, nice, beautifull, weird, old-fashioned or unconventional. Something that is not average; beauty is in the details. Colours and/or art-sy stuff are also very welcome. Birthday-cards (my birthday is 7th of januari) and holiday-cards (Christmas, New Year, Halloween, Valentine's day, Easter, all national/regional/religious days are very welcome!

But if you have trouble finding nice ones with those topics (like me!) just send me a postcard you would like to receive, because you think it is nice.
Happy postcrossing!

Love,
Marlien
