About Els...

Hello, my name is Els. Born in 1972 and living in the northern of Netherlands in a small village. 20 years ago I graduated as an apothecary (assistant) and still employed as such.
I am married with Piet and together we have four childeren: Hannah (9), David (8), Silas (4) and Gideon (1).
The reason why I created an account on postcrossing.com is my son Silas. He always wants to unlock our mailbox to see if there is a postcard for him. Of course, I must disappoint him often, because a 4-year-old doesn't receive post daily.
I also think it is a beautiful way to maintain and improve my English and German language and it helps me to expand my stamp collection.
I'm quite a busy person and have many hobbies. I love: cooking, baking cakes, read, listen and make music and handicrafts (knitting, embroidery, tinkering with the children). My husband and I we play in the local windband. He is drummer and I play trombone.
I hope to receive cards and stamps from many different countries. Not only for the getting, but also for the educational. I think my children can learn a lot from postcrossing: topography, language, culture and being interested in other people.
It would be nice to receive cards:
* with fairies or angels on it.
* that are suiteble for my children (like children's book images or something to learn about your country).
* I like the artcards very much. You would do me a big favour if you can send me a postcard of an artist of your country.
* If you could add some nice used stamps that would be great!
