About Anne...

I live in the small, rural state of Vermont, USA in New England near the Canadian border. There are only 680,000 residents in the entire state. Although I live near a city, our state is mostly rural. There are a lot of farms around here, and a lot of cows, too. Tourists come here for the scenery, skiing, hiking and both the maple syrup and Ben and Jerry's ice cream, which are made here.

The weather in Vermont is quite variable. We have FOUR distinct seasons, experiencing weather to all extremes! We are in the middle of winter. Everything is covered in white right now.

My Avatar photo was taken in Jericho, Vermont. Covered bridges are a typical historical sight in our state of Vermont. Most were constructed more than 100 years ago and are all made of wood. They were designed to keep snow and ice off the bridge.
