About Laura...

I am an artist, graduated in 2000 at the Academy of Arts in Kampen. A part of my exhibition at that time was a collection of sand from all over the world. I loved receiving those packages, some with photographs, some with poems, kind words, thoughts... all kinds of people who took a little time to think of me somewhere down the face of the globe.
Post has always been a thrill for me: when I started writing as a tiny girl, I used to write letters to my family, to penpals in Australia and long lost friends that moved to other cities. It developed to handmade artistic cards filled with ink, paint, photographs, stamps and so on...
Needless to say I would love to receive for example a photograph made by you with a personal story like a dream, a confession, a fantasy, a poem, a thought, or how your day was... because these are the ingredients I will put up front when sending out my cards to you!

Want to know a little more about me?
I live together with a sailor. We own a tall ship Clipper called Pouwel Jonas and we sail the Dutch waters from March until October with (mostly German) groups...
In 2005, our daughter Maya was born and she is the reason for me to stay at home most of the time during the summer.
I run my own tiny company with the following features: painting, graphic design, handwritten advertisements boards, photograpy, but hey, still motherhood seems to be the job that takes most of my time (and energy now and then).
I lead a happy life, with a nice circle of friends around me.

Anything else?
I am into Body Balance, yoga, meditation, music, art, books, but... I also enjoy a fine wine, drinking a nice (dark) beer, watching art house movies, I love to cook (vegetarian), to dream and to laugh, to read, to write, to experience.... to live and to just exist!
