About LaoHu...

I love all kinds of drawing and painting, from ancient Egyptian art and Greek vase paintings through 15th-18th century Spanish and Dutch paintings and on up to Roy Lichtenstein and Richard Estes -- and comic book art (e.g., Neal Adams, Frank Frazetta, Alex Raymond ...) -- and everything in between! Abstracts can be interesting but my passion is for realism.
Photography (esp portraits/faces of beautiful women of all the world's ethnic groups [beauty is beauty is beauty!]) also delights me.
Such postcards are much welcomed, but anything unique and beautiful attracts me -- people, cars, plants, stamps, animals (esp felines [tigers, leopards, kitties, etc.] and raptors [hawks, eagles, falcons, etc.]), buildings ... there is so much beauty all around us that has been captured on postcards -- from the microscopic creatures that cohabit with us the "world within" to the vast macrocosm beyond us in the "world out there".
Am I an aesthete? a hedonist? That's for you to decide! Do we have a basis for a follow-up correspondence? That's for you to decide too!
