About Gosia...
***Saying "thank you" when registering a postcard is a matter of good manners***
I am Polish female living currently in the UK.
When I was a child I collected all kinds of cards, I asked family members, friends, neighbours for giving me their cards and sending postcards from their holidays. I abandoned this hobby more than a decade ago and I have discovered postcrossing recently! It is amazing that nowadays when emails and texts became the most popular way of communication, there are still people who like sending and receiving real mails and postcards!
I love postcards, scrabble, books, chocolate, cats, perfumes, scented candles... I like old houses, buildings, fireplaces, and anything that has its own story to tell.
Postcards I like the most are these with a view of YOUR town, village, region, country etc. Street views and scenes, grand old buildings, cathedrals, churches - just anything that represents your area and you would like to show me. Art versions of your city (paintings) are welcome as well.
PLEASE DO NOT SEND ME CARDS SHOWING ANY OTHER COUTRY THAN YOURS.
I am aware that my wishes can be a request only, not a demand, but why some keep on sending me such cards???
IMPORTANT: If you are going to send me a viewcard, please take a look at my cards received from your country, it happend a few times that I received a card I have already had.
I also like:
- black & white, sepia nostalgia/yesterday postcard with people and/or buildings
- cats (photographed, black and white, drawn)
- nice colorful fields of flowers (e.g. tulips, poppies, sunflowers), meadows, NO single flowers, NO single state/country flowers please (see my favourites for ideas)
- sweets (chocolate, cake, cookies, pralines)or tea, coffee/cafe alcohol (beer, wine, etc)
- old small cars like WV Beetle, mini cooper, Fiat 500
- seasons, especially autumn or winter
- anything by "Art Unlimited"
- any card from my favourites - I'd love to receive any of them
If you take nice photos, can capture everyday life of your street, town, people - these postcards are also welcome!
Please no postards with snakes, fish, spiders, frogs, crocodiles - I am really scared of them! And no folded cards please.
I prefer cards written and stamped but if you want to send it in envelope - that's fine. And write the date, please.
I'd love to hear something about you, your town, what is on the postcard you are sending, hobby, holidays etc. Please, don't send blank card - your message is as much important as the postcard.
When is Christmas time I would appreciate a Christmas card. Or any card with winter scene - there's no snow in England and I miss it sometimes:D
Thank you!
