About Katie...

Hello Postcrossing friends!

My name is Katie, and I live in Salt Lake City, the capital of Utah and home of the Mormon Church. (Plenty of us who live here are not Mormon, myself included :).) We are twenty minutes away from seven world-famous ski resorts and the beautiful Wasatch Mountains. I am a technical writer, and live with my fiance and our pets, a dog and a cat. We have a very happy life, and I hope you will tell me all about your life too. :)

Some things I enjoy in life: good food, beer and breweries, coffee, the outdoors (hiking and camping!), birdwatching, growing fruits and vegetables, hookah, visiting new places in my town or somewhere else, reading all genres of books, National Geographic magazine, playing video games, warming myself in the sunshine, knitting, college football (the American kind), Clemson University, the beach, the mountains, music (folk, bluegrass, retro rock, alt-country, some pop), playing the piano, learning the harmonica, playing with my dog and cat...and...and... :)

If you don't know what to write on your card, tell me about the restaurant, cafe, or pub that I should visit if I ever come to your town or region. Enjoying food and drink when I travel is one of my favorite things! :)
