I am an American who has been living and teaching on the island of Shikoku in Japan. I have 1,300 amazing junior high students in grades 7-9 who make me glad to bike 2 km to school every morning.

In my free time I take photographs, watch movies, play video games (I love atmospheric horror and RPGs), and read comic books (Japanese and American). I'm active in local costuming circles (cosplay), love to travel within Japan (I'm terrified of airplanes!), and I dig wasting time in cafes with a book or my journal.

I speak, read and write Japanese reasonably well but still have a long way to go.

As for what kind of postcards to send: surprise me! Knowing what to expect isn't half as fun as wondering what will pop up in the post-box.
