My name is Kim and I live in Front Royal, Virginia in the US. I am 53 years old. I live in a small town at the foot of the Shenandoah Valley Mountains/Skyline Drive. Washington, DC is about 50 miles from me. The area I live in is very historic with battle fields and civil war museums. I share six children and five grandchildren with my husband. We have a big family so I do a lot of cooking, canning food, gardening, sewing, quilting,etc. I also have a dog, Elvis who is a Jack Russel Terrier. I enjoy the outdoors, fishing, hiking, education, reading, nature, rainstorms, music, art, etc.
I would love postcards from you that are about the area that you live in. I also love anything directly related to where you live like landmarks, areas, what your area is known for, animals in your area, flowers, pictures of the people in costume for a special event, art, buildings, monuments, land scapes, etc., anything that shows me about where you live! Please make sure to date your postcard when you send it. Please no ad postcards. Hand made is fine. I would prefer your postcard stamped and mailed through mail service, not in an envelope.
Some of my hobbies are postcrossing.com, bookcrossing.com,wheresgeorge.com, facebook, meeting/penpals from other areas, quilting, collecting fairies/angels, meditation, fishing, outdoor activities, aquariums and fish, Jack Russell Terriers, all kinds of music, reading, going to the beach and I love beaches, shells, anything having to do with beaches, and more.
I've been to Greece, Turkey, Japan and have lived in Arizona, Ohio, Virginia, California and have traveled by car across the United States from Virginia to California. I have a degree in the medical field as an Activities/Restorative Director for the Elderly and I specialize in Alzheimer's/Demetia. I love working with Alzheimer's.
Three of my children are in the medical field, one is becoming a Union Electrician and two are still growing up! My oldest is 34 and my youngest is 11. So we have a very broad activity level in my home. My husband is a Union Electrician for 25+ years. I love life! I live it full and my favorite saying is "When your life is done, slide into heaven saying What a Ride!!!"
