The address I provide here is valid before July 1st 2008 when I'll graduate from college. If you are assigned my address, please send your card as fast as you can. If you send me a card after mid-April (thus the card may be unable to arrive before July to the worst estimate), please first contact with me to have the proper address. After early June, please postpone all cards until August when I'll start my study in the US.
I am a physics major undergraduate at Hefei,Anhui province,China. My hobbies include traveling, collecting, literature, history and music.
I have an appetite for postcards of wide variety. Any kinds of postcards that simply look nice will be appreciated. But if it's possible for you to choose from your collection, I prefer these kinds of postcards :
grand landscape or fantastic view;
landmark or characteristics of places;
a piece of history;
science or scientists;
art or artists;
music or musicians;
craft or craftsmen;
writers or books;
lifestyle;
wildlife;
great figures in human history(ALL SORTS of politicians EXCLUDED!);
professional photographic works;
folk customs or anthropological diversity;
cultural heritage;
performing arts;
ancient civilization;
postwar rock stars;
self-made postcards.
Stereotyped cards of city views and common tourism postcards that combine many pictures together are less welcome. Please DO NOT send poorly designed advertisement cards (charity postcards acceptable) and cards lavishly portraying nowaday pop stars (old stars acceptable).
I prefer postcard that has something on it written by hand and is without envelope. It will be even better if it's specially stamped or postmarked. I am more than willing to share your stories about your collection.
Chinese (both simpfied and traditional), English and Japanese(the more kanji the better) are the most acceptable languages. But, feel free to write some words in your mother language. Besides, I have plans to study French, German ,Greek and Swedish, and I feel strongly interested in Arabic, Sanskrit and other languages which don't use Latin alphabet. Please do write something in these languages if you know any of them. You will do me an extra favor to also tell me what you were saying in your mother tongue on the postcard.
