Olá!

My name is João and I am 27 years old. I was born in Lisbon, Portugal, and live there with my girlfriend. I am currently a Ph.D. candidate and junior researcher, and also a teaching assistant. My personal interests include music, reading, movies, cooking, languages, psychology, card games, tea, and (last but not least) public transport.

When WRITING a postcard to me, you can write in any of the languages listed regardless of my stated proficiency level (it is a way for me to learn more). If your mother tongue is not one of those I speak/understand, I would very much like if you could teach me a funny sentence in it or write whatever you have to say in your language along with the translation to English. I am particularly interested in practising my German and learning Finnish right now. Penpals are welcome, namely for language exchange.

- sentences in your native language (especially German and Finnish, which I'm currently perfecting and learning, respectively).
