About Jolanda...

Dear Postcrosser,

My name is Jolanda Bresters, I'm 29 years old and I live in Stadskanaal. This is a city in the north- east of Holland, close to Germany and has about 33.000 residents. I live there together with my boyfriend Sebastiaan. I have got 3 younger sisters and a one brother.

In september 2009 I finished my study Social Work. I work as a social worker with mentally handicapped people for several years now. I really enjoy my work, it gives me al lot of satisfaction and positive energy.

The things I like to do in my free time are traveling, fitness, listening to all kinds of music, reading, watching tv and play rpg games at my pc and going out with friends and go to concerts and festivals. I'm also a big soccer fan. My club is Feyenoord Rotterdam and I visit as much games as I can.
Some of my favorite writers are Terry Goodkind, Raymond. E Feist, Tolkien and JK Rowling.

I started postcrossing after I heard about it from my sister, who's also a postcrosser. I always loved sending cards but I never got much back, so postcrossing is great for me to receive and send cards.

There are a few types of cards I'd prefer to receive, but receiving a card and the message written on it is as much important to me. My favourites are:

- childrens book/illustrations cards
- fantasy cards (trolls, elves etc.)
- nature cards (animals or landscape
- season cards
- cards of famous sculptures or paintings (like impressionism)
- city/ country cards (when it is possible single view)
- art cards
-historic cards

From Germany: Ich Liebe die Karte von 'Der Sendung mit der Maus.'
Scandinavia: I think cards of the Moomins or Elsa Beskow are beautifull. I also received a beautiful card from the illustrator Lidberg.

No ad cards please of products and stuff, any other card is welcome. It's not a must to send me a type of card wich is in my favourites list. Any card is welcome.
