About John...

I took a break from postcrossing for a few years, but now I am back and have hundreds of postcards to send out! I teach religious studies and instructional design at a state university. English is my primary language, but I can read French and German if it is written clearly. I especially enjoy postcards related to:

* religion, especially Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism, Islam, and Orthodox Christianity
* books and book related subjects
* Covid related
* Anything related to Amsterdam. I lived there from 2007 to 2009 and miss it.
* art, modern (such as dada, surrealism, abstract, pop surrealism, etc.), renaissance, Pre-Raphaelites, and impressionism
* nature scenes, especially forests and beaches
* animals, especially dogs, ferrets, goats, and fish
* Science fiction, especially Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter
* Soviet propaganda posters
* Japanese ukiyo-e (woodblock prints)
* UNESCO WHS (Please see my Google spreadsheet showing what I have collected so far. The link is below.)
* music related, such as Led Zeppelin, Queen, Aerosmith, Janes Addiction, Nine Inch Nails, The Beatles, Beastie Boys, Black Sabbath, The Cure, The Eagles, Elvis Costello, Fleetwood Mac, Genesis, and Metallica.
* unusual themes
* handmade cards
* strange or interesting ad cards

But don't worry, I'll be happy with any postcard. I prefer to get postcards written on and stamped. I would prefer to not get greeting cards, folded cards, or cards sent in envelopes. Thanks for reading & sending!

* I am always interested in direct swaps, I live in Florida, USA, and have many Disney, Disney World, and Florida related postcards. If this is something you'd like as part of a direct swap, please PM me.
* I put the pictures of all the postcards I have available, have sent, and have received on my personal website (http://www.johnlcrow.com/postcards/). I have over 1500 postcards cards available for trade. I am adding new postcards frequently. Please take a look.
* My UNESCO WHS Spreadsheet showing the postcards I have received. I began this year so my collection is not very large.
