Hallo,
my name is Jette (pronounced: Yetta) and I am a 28-year-old university student from Halle (Saale) / Germany; though Germany is not the only place in the world I've lived for some period of time. I was born in a country that doesnt exist anymore: the former East Germany; later, I spent two years in the United States - one as a babysitter and one as a Fulbright scholar - and when I am done with school I'm hoping to find a job in some place other than Germany.
Needless to say that I am interested in different and thus foreign countries, cultures and languages. I've traveled to many places in- and outside of Germany, including - amongst others - Berlin, Leipzig, Dresden and Hamburg but also Scandinavia, the UK, Spain, France, Austria, Italy, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Morocco, Tunisia, Mexico, Jamaica - and most recently Chile and Finland.
So, if possible, please send me a postcard from your hometown / current town and write something in your native language (and may it only be a short phrase like: Greetings from ...) and its English translation. That would be awesome!
