About Jennifer...

I live with my husband of 15 years, my Manx cat and Australian Cattle/Huskey mix dog in the museum district of the capital city of Richmond, Virginia. I am a full time professional artist, published in metal jewelry and design, now focused primarily on tambour embroidery, goldwork and hand embroidery.

I have formally studied couture luneville embroidery at the School of Fine Arts Costume & Design at the University of Kentucky and most recently, Ecole Lesage in Paris, France. For relaxation I am also passionate about crochet, tatting, and sewing.

I have a deep love of VW camper vans, dark chocolate, Starbucks coffee, books, fabric, silk thread, needlework patterns, beads, antiques, and travel. The countries I have visited are: Canada, Mexico, Germany, Austria, Sweden, England, Switzerland, Italy and France.

My pets are my babies. :-) All of our animals, living and not, have been rescues.

For postcards, I would most appreciate art cards, needlework themes, weird or unusual cards, cards depicting art museums, native crafts, nature, wilderness scenes of your country, Japanese scenes (not manga or animation, please), artists native to your country and native birds, crafts in general, cactuses, aerial views, VW buses and beetles, old cemeteries and cemetery statuary, tattoo art, jewelry, and postcards of old people. I deeply miss the "old days" of letter writing and package sending so lots of writing on your postcard to me is most welcome! I also appreciate interesting stamps, rubber stampings, and stickers.
