Hi! I'm Jemma, I'm 30 from Oxford in England, but I now live near Brisbane with my boyfriend. I love books - I can never walk past a bookstore without going in! I've always enjoyed sending and receiving letters & postcards - so I adore stationery and anything mail related. Some women buy lots of bags and shoes, I buy notebooks, pens, cards, postcards and writing paper!
I'm a bit of a country girl at heart, I feel most relaxed in the outdoors, walking in the countryside, by the sea, and watching out for birds and wildlife. I also enjoy travelling and exploring new places. I like finding interesting old buildings, churches, monuments etc and discovering how people live. Wandering around art galleries and museums old and new is fun too. I also enjoy watching most sports, music, arts and craft, theatre, films... I really just love learning new things, being made to think and I just have too many interests and not enough time for them all :D
With postcards I am pretty easy to please :-) One of the things I love about Postcrossing is how I get to find out about new people and places. All the extra knowledge I've gained since joining here has been a real gift :) I just love to read your words on the card :D

For those that do like some ideas of cards to send, I hope this will help! :

-city/town/village views; old castles/forts/monasteries/buildings;
-beautiful scenery; nature/landscape/pretty scenery/countryside
-birds and animals (especially US state birds!)
-maps
-items traditional to your country/city etc;
-art cards: postcards of paintings, drawings, stained glass, mosaics (especially colourful art of animals, landscapes, seascapes, nature etc) (If any Postcrosser can find cards of the work of Franz Marc, I'd love to trade!)
-retro/vintage advertisements and posters
-children's tv/comic/fairytale/storybook characters
-anything else fun/interesting/unusual/related to my interests that you have to hand and you'd like to send me :)
