I've lived in Kansas my whole life. In the nicest and most stereotyped suburb in the United States.I don't live on a farm, I live in a house, in a neighborhood, a very nice neighborhood at that. The land is flat, the air is dry, the skies are blue, and the fields of wheat go on for miles. I can't wait to get out of here, but I'm still trying to enjoy what I can here in Kansas. My town is very secluded and superficial, and I hate it, I don't think I belong here. I live in a bubble. The way things are here are very different from what they are like in the real world. Everyone here has it good, and they don't even know it. The numbingly similar tract homes, endless strip malls, multiple minivans filled with youth soccer players, and golf courses at every corner, Johnson County is a big, superficial bubble. That is probably why i exchange postcards, I want to know what the rest of the world is like.
I'm not going to tell you what type of postcard to send me, that would be rude. I'll love any postcard that you send me. I only ask for a lovely note written on the back, something that will make me happy, and restore my faith in the human race. Chivalry is not dead, I know for sure, when I see what nice things people write.
