About Heather...

I'm a 37-year-old (*gasp* when did that happen?!) legal assistant who's originally from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan but who moved to Michigan's capital city in 1999. I enjoy reading (mostly non-fiction), writing, hiking, nature, and bird-watching. I used to pen pal all the time, but now I've settled into having two long-term pen pals (although you could persuade me to add to that list). I miss being able to travel; before I started college my summer vacations were spent traveling with my parents across the U.S. and Canada. I really miss Alaska, Maine, Denver (Colorado) and Toronto (Ontario), and hope to get back there someday.

Among my most-coveted international destinations would be: France, Egypt, India, Vietnam, and Iceland. And Antarctica. =)

Any type of postcard will be appreciated, although I have a love for maps and historical architecture and would be interested in seeing either maps or architecture of the city/country in which you live. Also, if you have any postcards of the birds from where you live, I would be extremely happy to receive those as well.

As for what to write: Please don't simply write "Happy Postcrossing!" You can tell me a little about yourself, a recent moment that made you happy, a good book you've read, or your favorite place. Really, anything. When I write a postcard to someone, I write out a random thought I'm having.
