About Nadine...

Ottawa is an incredible city to live in. There is a local farmer's market, farm and lots of green space right in the heart of downtown, and just around 1 million people call it home. I've been here for just over 3 years, and moved by way of New York City (USA) - that's a big change for me at nyc having a population of nearly 8 million.

I live with my husband and our wonderful fur family. I was recently married in September of 2008. We have a dog named Wylie, and two cats, Finnigan and Smee. We are lucky to have (and share) an art studio in our home. I work as a freelance caregiver for two young children. I am so grateful to have a job that I love.

I love anything handmade, the color purple, non-mainstream music (ie, not played on the radio in North America), animals of all kinds, photography, tribal and native art and artifacts, nature, painting, beading, altered art, jewellery, movies, swimming, fabric, sewing, soft textiles, the smell of vanilla, cooking and baking.

I collect ephemera, book pages and paper artwork for use in my own artwork and love to penpal.

I can read some spanish, italian, french and german (italian, french and german is very limited) but love to see phrases written in native tongue, and would love for a translation and pronunciation to accompany the phrase.

When sending a postcard, please tell me a bit about yourself and/or where you live. I love to armchair travel. Please let me know if you are interested in being penpals. It is appreciated if you date your card.
