Weck-Family

Hello and greetings to the wide world :-)

We are a family of 3 people. Me, Silvia, my husband Uwe and our daughter Hannah-Marie. We live in Dreieich, a small town near Frankfurt am Main. A friend of ours told us about Postcrossing. We found it so exciting that we wanted to join in to send and receive postcards all over the world.

I, Silvia, usually write the postcard. Uwe helps with the selection. I always try to respond to the postcrosser's texts and information (if any) and write them down by hand. Sometimes I also write texts on the computer and add them by hand (not everyone likes that). It doesn't bother us when we get cards like this, sometimes it's even nicer because then you can read everything.

I, Silvia, like to read books, especially crime novels, stories about life, World War II, Star Trek...
Uwe also likes to read, but mostly just crime stories. Hannah-Marie enjoys reading all kinds of books and loves many Netflix series.

We love hiking, cycling, meeting friends, traveling in Germany (our families and friends live in our native city of Leipzig) and around the world. We also like to watch films, for example Soko Leipzig or Tatort, mystery series such as Manifest or The X-Files, Star Trek, Harry Potter, films with Julia Roberts, Richard Gere, Tom Hanks, Robert de Niro, Ben Stiller, Adam Sandler .....

Hannah-Marie is now an adult, but now lives in Münster and studies there. Every now and then she visits us or we visit her. That's why we've now renamed ourselves married couple.

We have two budgies, a yellow one named Daisy and a green one named Kalle. First we had a blue one - Primo, who unfortunately died at the end of summer (2023). So we got Kalle from the animal shelter and he tells budgie stories all day ;-)

- German Postcrosser: Cards from Leipzig or Saxony or Harz

In March (Uwe), May (Silvia) and November (Hannah-Marie) we are also happy to receive birthday cards and Christmas cards at the end of the year.

All other cards (including AD) are also welcome!
