She has been a member for over 1 year (709 days).Hello from Gouda!
I'm 28 years old Finnish woman, currently living in The Netherlands together with my Dutch husband, two crazy cats and one sweet cockatiel. I like spending time outdoors, taking nature photographs, cycling, cooking, birding, hiking and watching Lost on TV.
I'm not working at the moment, but I used to have a job as a mailman. I really loved my work, because I have always been interested in all kinds of postal things (sorting & delivering mail, stamps, letters, postcards...) and because I was lucky to have the most amazing coworkers. I hope to find a similar job here in Holland :).
I'd be happy to receive all kinds of postcards. Below are some examples of themes that I think are especially nice, but please don't feel like you must send me cards that match with the themes. I'm happy with everything I get, just as long as they are postcards :D.
* Birds (I love all kinds of birds, but I have a soft spot for parrots & chickens :)
* Trees and forests
* Trains and railways
* Wild flowers & animals
* Mountains
* Lakes, rivers, seas & oceans
* Fish & reptiles
* Insects (eg. butterflies)
* Beautiful landscapes
* Airplanes & airports
* Cats
* Anything that is related to Lost (a TV show)
* Postal things (like mailboxes, postal outfits and so on)
Traditional cityviews are always welcome, too! :)
A special wish for Finnish postcrossers: I miss my dear homeland a lot and so I'd really love to get those very traditional Finnish postcards showing things like lakes, fields, forests, saunas, Lapland, sea... These cards are like little treasures for me - they are such a big help, when the homesickness strikes :). But of course you can send me other cards, too - this is just a little wish of mine :).
Here are almost all the lovely official cards I have received so far:

And here are some cards (or any cards alike) that would really make my day if I ever found them in my mailbox: http://www.flickr.com/photos/krista_geert/favorites/
I understand most of them must be very hard to come by and I honestly don't expect that everyone is going to send me these - I just had to share the link, because the cards are so (too) beautiful :).
Last but not least, my small postal themed collection: http://picasaweb.google.com/krista.geert/Postcards
Happy Postcrossing to everyone! :)
