She has been a member for over 2 years (1053 days).Hello stranger!
I´m 28 and actually German. I studied in Munich for six years. But somehow I live now on an Icelandic farm with 1 cow, 80 sheep, 30 horses, 4 rabbits, 2 budgies, too many cats, 1 husband and his father. Our house is only 10 minutes´ drive from the small town Selfoss.
When I look through our livingroom window I can see the volcano Hekla which was called "the gateway to hell" during the middleages.
That are reasons why I work in a so called "town" - it can be a bit too "exciting" to have so much nature around oneself...:-)
What do I like? For example my little rabbit called Emmi that still lives in Germany with its friend Max. My Icelandic rabbits are called Hansi Rostock, Nina Hagen, Alpha and Ikarus...
Our budgies Mike & Sue are named after a very nice couple from Wales who I got to know through postcrossing. Sue is in fact a cock but he has got a very feminine appearance:-)
Our newest animally family members are our three little cats, Emile Zolala, Milka Hakkinen and Anita Wilde...
I love sounds but hate noise. I also like all kinds of art - especially symbolism and art nouveau. Snaky medusas and rampant ornaments are phenomenal motives! I love it when I can dive into a painting.
My favourite colours are RED, ORANGE, YELLOW and WHITE. Indoor plants are my newest interest and they are still alive. Whenever I´m on vacation I prefer to be outside: camping, bicycling, hiking etc. We´ve tried out that geocaching thing aswell - but unfortunately we´re too stupid for it... And as a lifestyle victim I also practice yoga:-)
I look forward to receive your mail! To give you some hints: I´m a fan of flower, art, design, comic, nostalgic, black & white cards, fine art photography, portraits, city views, landmarks and world heritage sites. To all the Finns: Moomin motives are always welcome!
If you know a nice quote or wisdom please tell me! At least it would be great if you could leave a bit more than “Many greetings from...”. Versify a silly poem, tell me about your socks or what you would do if you could do magic, draw a charming self-portrait or something else!
By the way: Postcards need fresh air and a nice stamp on...:-)
Bestu kveðjur and servus!
Happy postcrossing.
