I've always collected stamps and postcards so was thrilled to discover Postcrossing.

I also really enjoy trying to find a card to match the receiver's preferences and get a kick out of knowing that my card arrived safely and was appreciated.

As for me, I particularly like these kinds of postcards:

*Vintage (real old postcards with old writing and stamps)
*Vintage advertising (especially travel posters)
*Vintage/retro beach scenes including people in old-fashioned costumes

I also like the following good quality postcards:

*Art, especially famous paintings from your country
*Artistic black & white photography
*Botanical illustrations
*Maxi cards (ie postcards with matching stamp on the front)
*The ones on my favourites wall!

But if you don't have any of the above, send me something typical of your country or region, which will always be appreciated.

I am not so keen on folded greetings cards. I prefer real postcards without envelopes. (Although I would love to receive old/vintage/used postcards with old writing and stamps - in which case they would need to go in an envelope of course!)

I appreciate beautiful or interesting postage stamps too.
