About Annie...

I'm in my fifties and I have been fascinated with postcards and stamps ever since I was a little girl. I have never thrown out a postcard so I have quite a large collection. (One of these days I must count them!) Some are in albums and some are in boxes and I display the most recent ones on a pinboard.

Since joining, I find that I enjoy picking the right card and stamps to send to the recipient (according to their profile and favourites) as much as receiving postcards from other Postcrossers. I also get a kick out of knowing that my card arrived safely and was appreciated.

As for me, I particularly like these kinds of postcards:

*Vintage (real old postcards with old writing and stamps)
*Vintage advertising (especially travel posters)
*Vintage/retro beach scenes including people in old-fashioned costumes

I also like:

*Art postcards, especially famous paintings from your country
*Artistic black & white photography
*Botanical illustrations
*Maxi cards (ie postcards with matching stamp on the front)
*Postage stamps\post boxes\mail boxes\mail art
*Tea\teacups\teapots

Oh and have a look at my favourites wall as well :)

But if you don't have any of the above, send me something typical of your country or region - that will also make me very happy.

I am not so keen on folded greetings cards. I like real postcards, preferably not in envelopes. (Although I would love to receive old/vintage (used) postcards with old writing and stamps - in which case they would need to go in an envelope.)

I appreciate beautiful or interesting postage stamps on my postcards too.

I am looking forward to hearing from my fellow Postcrossers - and some words in your first language would be appreciated. Thank you in advance for your postcard. Cheers!
