About Femke...

I'm Femke, 29 years old. I live together with my husband Okke (also 29) and three sons (Jorn, 7 and Jelle, 4 and Jurrit, 0) in Reduzum. I studied Information Science at the University of Groningen. Once a week I work as a volunteer at the elementary school of my two oldest sons during lunch break.

I have lots of hobbies. Solving Sudoku puzzles, making photo's and of course Postcrossing and everything that comes with it. Finding cards, making cards and finding special stamps.

I like to listen to punk/rock/ska music. Some of my favourite bands are Thrice, GreenDay, Bad Religion, The Killers, The Kooks, Snow Patrol and the Kaiser Chiefs. But I also love José Gonzales.

I like to read. If I can find time to do it. My favourite books: Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Inheritance (Eragon), The Chronicles of Narnia, Earth's children series (Ayla), His dark materials (Golden Compass).

I like to make clothes for my family and me. My favourite sewing magazine is Ottobre. On my weblog http://femkeismaria.blogspot.com you can see some of the things I have made.

I like boardgames like "Carcassonne", "Settlers of Catan" and other boardgames. My oldest son Jorn starts to get the hang of "Carcassonne".

I like cars, and especially Volkswagen. We owned several VW's (Golf MK1 and Golf MK2). We now drive a Passat B4. My dream would be to own a perfectly restored Golf MK1 cabrio. Who knows...

About the cards I like to receive... Of course I am happy with every card I receive, but if you can send one of the cards described below, I would be even happier!!! If there is text on your card it would be nice to have a translation.
- Cartoon cards with famous characters in your country (Moomins/Rölli(FI), Pipi/Mamma Mu(SE), Trolls(DK), Asterix and Obelix(FR), Hello Kitty(JP), Disney(USA) and so on...)
- Cards with paintings (Kaj Stenvall(FI), Navitrolla(EE))
- Postcards with a VW on it.
- Funny postcards.
- Handmade postcards.
- Postcards with a photograph you made.
- Cards that have something to do with my hobbies.
- Birthday cards in your language.
- Holiday postcards in your language (Christmas, NewYear, Valentine's day, Halloween, Easter, Midsummer, Thanksgiving, Independance Day, another day typical for your country...)
- Retro or old postcards
- Or a combination of the above descriptions.

My goal is to make every postcrosser as happy as possible with the postcard I send. So if I send YOU a postcard I will do my best to send you a postcard that you like, if I can find it. I hope you will do the same for me. If you write your address on the postcard I will always send you a "thank you" postcard in return.

Please don't upload the postcard you send to me. I will upoload every card I receive as soon as possible!
