About Erika...

Hello, my name is Erika and I'm 30 years old from the beautiful Buenos Aires, Argentina.
I'm an English-Spanish translator. Through the years I have learned a lot and made lots of friends who turned my bad days into great ones, I do miss them very much...and that's why I sometimes go back to say hello to my classmates or teachers at uni.

I'm from Slovene ancestry. My grandparents came here after the WW2. Slovenian is my mother tongue and I went to Slovene school as well as the Spanish one. I had the chance to travel to Slovenia in 2006 to study and to get to know the country where my roots are from and had the time of my life! A big part of my family and many best friends live there, they are always asking me to come back for a visit or to spend a few months working or simply hanging out with my cousins, my family members or having a nice cup of tea with kremsnite on the verge of Ljubljanica.

I enjoy very much snapping photos of anything that makes me smile or that catches my attention. My Instagram is 99% photos of my dog, Daisy, books or teas.

I am an avid dinosaur fan and love everything related to them. I enjoy watching the Discovery channel, National Geographic and my hero is Sir David Attenborough, I would love to be as passionate about nature and the animals as he is.

I'm a book nerd and I'm constantly buying books, visiting libraries, going to book fairs and reading in different languages. I find it mesmerizing to be able to be transported to a different world and a different era for a while. I can be sitting in a bar in Buenos Aires, but my mind can be in Galway, on the beach.

I'm a die-hard tea addict and I always have my daily cup of tea with a nice book by my side. I have an emergency tea bag in my wallet just in case tea happens, because...no one knows when you might need a warm hug in the shape of a mug. I also collect teas from around the world. It's amazing to find new friends who share the same passion as I do. I guess I'm not the only die-hard tea addict on planet earth!

I have been collecting postcards from all around the world since I was a little girl. Please, tell me something interesting about you, what's your passion, what are you studying, any book recommendation...whatever you want. I will be very happy to read you! :D

Have a great day and happy Postcrossing! :)
