About Elizabeth...

Welcome to my page!

My idea of postcrossing is that it's FUN to receive postcards in my mailbox from far-away places. It's FUN to look at a person's profile and know that you have the perfect card in your collection that will bring a smile on his/her face.

If your idea of postcrossing is to send out as many cards as possible and profiles are just a nuisance to read: by all means grab the first postcard you come across and send it to me.

But if you're anything like me (and think postcrossing is FUN), I hope that you'll give me a couple of minutes of your time. By sending a card to me, our pages will forever be linked to each other. An eternal postcard connection between two countries. How cool is that?!

I'm not a postcard collector and so I would be happy to receive a postcard that gives YOU a good feeling.
A card that is special to YOU. I believe that many postcards have a story to tell. Maybe the picture on the postcard takes you back to happy times? Maybe you bought the card at a location that has a special meaning to you? Please tell me why this postcard is special to you - I would love to know!

"The beauty of a postcard is not as important as the message that goes with it" (quote by me)

In case you really want to know my preferences? I love professional photography, ethnic cards (African people, Buddha, mosques, Arabic influences) and all cards that are on my wall of favourites.

If you're stuck with what to write to me, here are some ideas. You could tell me your favourite song (and I will look it up). I would love to know the answer to this question: "what makes you smile?" Or you could add a quote - I enjoy reading other people's perceptions on life! You could also tell me about your favourite book, a movie I just have to see, a recipe, a poem (can be in your own language) or just some happy news in your country! I also love it when you make the card more fun with (lots of) stickers!

Postcards are like little works of art and therefore I would like to receive them written and stamped (with pretty stamps if possible). An empty postcard is just empty... It becomes alive with stamps, postmarks and a message from you!

In any case, I appreciate your efforts and I look forward to finding your postcard in my mailbox (smile).
