I love the idea of reaching out to perfect strangers to bring a smile to their face and of course strangers bringing smiles to mine.
I especially like artsy cards, funky cards, cute cards, funny cards; I don't really like touristy multi-view cards, but if that's all you've got, don't sweat it! It's the text on the back of the card that counts for me. Please tell me all about where you're from or what you do, what you had for breakfast this morning, what your dreams are or what you'd like to be when you grow up. I love stories!
A little bit about me, if it helps you piece together something to write: I'm 27 years old and I live with my husband and cat in the lovely city of Haarlem. I teach English in a secondary school, which is a job I love thoroughly (although it's not always a breeze). I like dancing flamenco, doing embroidery, reading, watching movies or comedy series, and having coffee with friends. Oh, and writing postcards, obviously! :) Sometimes I get so swamped at work that I zone out of postcrossing for a few months altogether, but I just keep coming back.
