About Daniel...

Hi and welcome to my profile! My name is Daniel and I currently study electrical engineering at the University of Applied Sciences in Hanover.

As a student, I don't yet have the money to travel around the world (which I'd love to), so I thought it was a cool idea to register at Postcrossing, so I'll at least *get* something from around the world. :-)

My hobbies are: Music, Linux, Photography and Amateur radio (that's where my user name comes from)

Actually, music isn't just a hobby of mine, it's my life and absolutely essential to me. If I can't listen to music even for just one day, it's hard for me to keep sane. My all-time favourite album is "Wish you were here" by Pink Floyd. Currently, my favourite bands are Porcupine Tree, Dream Theater, Iron Maiden and ZZ Top. I also listen to a lot of Jazz/Swing and electronic music, especially Psytrance/Goa and Darkwave.

I'm especially interested in receiving postcards with contents related to the following topics:
-Radio
-Railway/Subway/Trams, especially network maps
-Submarines
-Space
-My favourite animals, which are parrots and sloths
-probably food (I love burgers as well as asian cuisine)

...but basically, I'm as happy about a postcard showing me how its origin looks like! You don't need to use an envelope because I think the stamps and postmarks add something to a card's authenticity.
