Discovered Postcrossing while looking for postcard exchange programs for my students. I currently teach grade 3 students in the USA (ages 8,9). I love to travel, taught for a year in the Marshall Islands, and have a sister that lives in Australia. Have informally been collecting postcards I've received since I was a child.
Currently live in the greater Los Angeles area. Visiting Hollywood is not a great attraction for me, but frequenting Disneyland is. Ask me any Disney questions or advice inquiries you might have! I have been an extra in a Hollywood movie though..."Seabiscuit", a film about a famous racehorse, was filmed at the racetrack he actually raced at (Santa Anita), which is in my hometown. I was one of about 5,000 "extras" in the audience at the track during the filming. I am a big Los Angeles Lakers fan too.
I have been happily married for 30 years now (since 1981), and have two children, a boy born in 1991 and a girl born in 1994. My son is currently in university (in Hawaii!) studying Marine Biology, and my daughter is excited about traveling and studying French this summer (2012) in Paris and near Lyon, France.
