Hi everybody. I am 26y, love pen paling, reading, travelling, languages, puzzles, sudoku, and lots more. I study at University in Prešov city in eastern Slovakia, where I was born. It is the seat of the administrative Prešov Region ((the biggest in Slovakia) (Slovak: Prešovský kraj)). With a population of approximately 100,000, it is the third-largest city in the country surrounded by beautiful nature. The city is a wonderful showcase of Baroque, Rococo and Gothic architecture. I live in the Staré Mesto (Old Town/Downtown) area, where the main street is lined with churches and other buildings built in these styles. In the suburbs, however, the Soviet influence is tragically evident through the massive concrete apartment buildings (the paneláks) of the Sídliská (settlements) and the Sekčov district. More Soviet architecture is seen in the government buildings near the town centre. I am about 100km far away from High Tatras, the mountains.
The first written record of Prešov dates back to 1247. In 1299 Prešov received municipal privileges, and in 1374 it was declared a free royal town. This led to the development of crafts and trade (especially the export of wine from the Tisza region to Poland). In the 15th century Prešov joined the Pentapolitana, an alliance of five towns of eastern Slovakia (Bardejov, Levoča, Košice, Prešov, and Sabinov).
I like UNWRITTEN cards showing a typical landscape, view of your town/city or country or anything that is special from your place and Diddl Cards. I like 3D cards, or cards that they change when you move them.
It is up to you, what you like to send me. I would be happy about anything, but please no ad cards.
If you could put the unwritten card(s) IN ENVELOPE, it would be lovely and of course do not forget to write me something about you, or your country or how was your day, anything. I collect the stamp and this way I do not have to cut my cards when they are not in envelope :)) If you like swap just let me know, even before you send me a card. This way you can save some money.
I'm interested in other cultures and languages (I speak German and English), finding new pen friends, learning new things in general.
Please, all the american countries, if you could write me something about the country history and culture, it would be lovely, because I need it for an exams.
