About Friederike...
I'm a university student majoring in East Asian Studies. Currently I'm writing my bachelor thesis about a Japanese TV drama (Taira no Kiyomori).
My preferences in general:
- anything showing RAIN in any way would be most awesome
- illustrations > photos (although I like both)
- if possible NO typical tourist view cards (especially NO MULTIVIEW)
- please NO folded greeting cards in envelopes
- an explanation about what's on the card (the story behind the picture, the reason why the sender chose to buy the card, the name of the place,...)
Favourite artists:
- Alfons Mucha, Caspar David Friedrich, William Turner
- Christian Riese Lassen, Josephine Wall, Victoria Francés
- Martta Wendelin, Sergey Solomko
- Yasui Sumaco, Matsui Fuyuko, Iwasaki Chihiro
- Wakamatsu Kaori, feebee, konatsu, Takada Yuko, Sueyoshi Yoko
- Garyung (가령)
- Nick Knight, Izima Kaoru, Yamashita Hiroaki
- Banksy
and anyone I don't know yet whose work has a similar feeling to the ones mentioned
Motives I would especially love:
- folklore, myths
- wolves, foxes or other wild animals of your country
- paper lanterns
- street art
- hydrangeas
- nature/ rural views (forests, villages, the sea, mountains,...)
If you're unsure, have a look at my favourites. They work as a sort of wish list.
Users from the NETHERLANDS: Can you maybe write some easy sentences in Dutch? I want to try and see how much I can understand. :)
Also, I'm looking for POSTCARD PENPALS to swap art and illustration cards with. If you're interested, leave me a message!
