She has been a member for 5 months (147 days).Hello everyone! I am always looking for new and fun ways to communicate with others, so when my friend "Tuttifruttigirl" told me about this website, I just knew it was for me too! So, about me....I turned 50 in March, yes, the big 50! I am not bummed out about it at all, but rather excited. Life is great, so I am happy to be turning 50! I am retired after many years of working as a paramedic/firefighter and a 911 operator. Yes, I loved my jobs and yes, I love them even more now that they are my former jobs!
I am happily married and have two grown kids. My hubby and I live in NW Indiana on a small farm, where we have quarter horses and miniature donkeys! So in many ways, I am now a "desperate horsewife"
I'm looking forward to meeting several new friends here!
Things I like
I am cross stitch afflicted or addicted--however you want to say it! I rarely sit down without my current project in hand. I really love stitching samplers with houses and farms, barns, etc. that sort of thing. I love the huge very involved pieces...not really into the cute small things....they are nice to look at but I don;t really enjoy doing them much. You can see my work on my personal website! http://cowgirlfromhanna.multiply.com/ It's a great hobby and I've met some wonderful people from all around the world by way of cross stitch forums I belong to! I really like anything related to horses or southwest design and I also love whimsical things like Mary Englebreit's art as well. Some of my favorite things are stationary and greeting cards! I love rubber stamps especially with cute animals on them and also love that silly confetti that you put inside envelopes to make a terrible mess when the recipiant opens their card! And I love sunflowers too..so cheery and bright! I also like things related to nostalgia, like reproduction tin signs and the like.
