About Sharon...
Hi! I love sending postcards, but I have a difficult time thinking of what to write. Don't worry, though, if you're sending one to me, I'll be happy no matter what it says.
Who I am:
I'm a programmer in San Francisco, right next to Silicon Valley (the part of the US with lots and lots of tech startup companies). I grew up near Washington, DC, so I've lived on both the east and west coasts now. One thing I love about living in coastal cities is the variety of food! I like going out to eat, and I love photos of food.
What I do:
I spend a lot of time reading books. My favorite authors are F. Scott Fitzgerald, Vladimir Nabokov, and Kurt Vonnegut. I'm also a huge fan of graphic novels / comic books. When I was younger, I spent a lot of time and money to read the new Spider-Man books.
Writing to me:
For postcards, I especially like drawings or art. Not necessarily homemade, but some kind of printed design is great to have. My other favorite themes include something about where you're from (so for example, I would send a postcard with San Francisco on it) or photos of food. Turtles are my favorite animal -- but please don't send me a picture of turtle soup =)
A note about language: I can't actually speak French, but I remember some of what I studied in school... perhaps enough to read a postcard? I'd like to try, so please write to me in French if you can.
Unregistered postcards: (If these were your cards, please contact me!)
From the Netherlands, sent on January 21, 2011.
The code looks like "JONC 530343" to me, but I can't figure out what the country code must be. I've tried a couple of combinations and Postcrossing says that none of the IDs exist.
From Amber in Taiwan, sent on March 6, 2011.
Thank you for the artistic postcard of Taipei 101! But unless this is a direct swap I've lost track of, I think you forgot to include the registration code.
