About Myriam...

Hello fellow postcrossers!

I love getting postcards and letters, things people hardly ever take time for anymore these days. And the idea of getting postcards from all over the world is just great. I love it!!!

As you can see I have a few languages listed in my profile - I do not claim to speak all of these fluently! I started out listing only those that I actually do speak fluently, but when I thought about it some more I wondered what would happen if I also listed those I can understand a bit and want to learn more. Wouldn't it be much more interesting to receive postcards not just from all kinds of places but also in all kinds of languages?!

For those getting cards from me: I will most likely write in English unless you also list German. In any case though, when you register a postcard received from me, please do leave me a note in your native language, whatever that may be!

For those sending me a card: well, yeah, I do love horses, cats, dogs, flowers and all. But what I love most are postcards actually showing me where they came from with a landmark, city vista, landscape, a typical flower or animal of the region - or a collage of these things. They may seem like kitsch and oh so touristy, but they do show people who have never been there a little bit of where they come from, and that's what it's about for me.

So please! Send me those souvenir postcards from your own hometown!
