I'm a 61 year old retired English teacher here in Ontario, Canada, and a lover of running, reading, cooking, gardening, wine, micro-brewed IPA, and my wife; we've been married 36 years and we love to travel, and have lived and worked in Portsmouth, England, and Yanbu, Saudi Arabia where we taught at an American International School for two years. I'm mad about poetry, blue cheese, single malt, Caravaggio, Shakespeare, our two lovely adult children, music, dark chocolate, dahlias, getting good garam masala, our cats Lewis and Fred, and several other things. When I grow up, I want to be able to write like Bill Bryson, sing like Paul Simon, and think like Isaiah Berlin.
