Hello! My name is Jelena and I am from Croatia! My hobbies are painting, learning new languages, collecting old books and collecting postcards.

Any postcard is welcome, but the best cards for me are the ones which show history, people in traditional outfits, culture and beauty of your city or country. And also postcards showing cemeteries, the older the better.

My favorite postcards are the ones of the night views, old buildings and castles, lighthouses, black and white photos and of course, nature.

I am also a fan of the old ocean liners like Titanic or Queen Mary, so if you can find postcards with these ships on them, they would be most appreciated. Or anything from the Edwardian era, from fashion to history, industry and portraits.

Postcards showing classic paintings especially by the french impressionists (Renoir, Monet, Degas,...) are also among the favorites. Other than that paintings and other art forms by Dali, Picasso, Da Vinci and Alfons Mucha (or even photographs of the artists if any). Photographs by Robert Doisneau? :)

For the postcrossers from Russia, postcards of the Romanov family are on the top of my list.

Postcards of illustrations or anything from Alice in Wonderland (movie, book, cartoon, drawing,...) will make me very happy. :)

Maybe you have a postcard of Alexandre Dumas? Or maybe postcards showing musketeers or other themes from his books? Also Oscar Wilde, Lord Byron, Mark Twain, Ernest Hemingway and Winston Churchill. Or maybe you have a card with the World War 1 and 2 themes? :)

And also posters from classical movies or actors like Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, Marilyn Monroe, Rita Hayworth, Laurence Olivier, Gregory Peck and sir Alfred Hitchcock will make me very happy. And Elvis Presley also holds a special place in my heart. :)

p.s. it would be great if you could write one sentence in your native language, your favorite quote or the lyrics of the song you just can't get out of your mind. :)
