About Brian...

Hello, from the heart of Missouri!

I'm 29 years old and I'm a writer for a small, Christian newspaper. It's not glamorous, but it's fun and I love what I do. I was born in the Great State of Oklahoma, but now live in Jefferson City, Missouri. It's a great city, but I miss Oklahoma!

I love bacon. I also love driving, going to the cinema and college football (Boomer Sooner!).

Please feel free to write anything you like on the postcards. If you can't think of anything to say, tell me where you think I should visit next!

I would love to be pen pals/ pen friends if you think that's something you'd enjoy. Just let me know or message me. I gotta warn you though: I LOVE writing letters.

As far as the type of card: I'm a fan of pretty much anything a tourist would send to his friends back home: landmarks, buildings, churches/cathedrals, map cards, multi-views, something fun and unusual, whatever. I'm flexible. I'm not really into handmade cards, but if you make something really cool that you're proud of, I'll make an exception just for you :-).

If you're especially bored, you can check out my website at www.brianon.com.

**********FUN OPTIONAL PROJECT:

I recently stumbled across a marvelous effort by a homeschool family in Roanoke, Virginia to receive 2,011 letters in 2011. ( WWW.2011LETTERS.BLOGSPOT.COM ) You should take 10 minutes out of your day and write ‘em a quick note (***they specifically ask for letters, NOT postcards***). Here’s what they’re asking for:

"We are a homeschool family (three girls: aged 12, 14 and 16) trying to collect 2,011 letters from around the world by Dec. 31.We are using this to help us learn about others both far and near. I want to open the world to my daughters and show them that there is more to the world than what we see. I want them to learn about other cultures, other traditions, other languages, etc. I want them to learn what a textbook cannot teach them about humanity."

To get their mailing address, send an e-mail the address on the upper right corner of www.2011letters.blogspot.com.
