About Laura...

Hi, I'm Laura. I'm twenty-three years old and I live in a fairly rural area of Nova Scotia.

I like any kind of postcard, I enjoy getting and sending mail.

If I had to pick kinds of cards I prefer I'd have to say pop culture cards (vintage movie poster cards are a favorite of mine), cards showing landmarks, cities and cards showcasing unique architecture, history and culture. I like them written on and stamped.

I am a huge pop culture fan. I love television, movies, music and reading. So I love postcards regaurding any aspects of, as well.

If your wondering what to write- tell me about your favorites (Books, Movies, Television shows etc.), or just tell me about your day or your favorite thing about the place where you live.

My favorite television show is Doctor Who, but I also love Supernatural, Spaced, Futurama, The Venture Bros., and Dexter.

In movies I really enjoy Lost in Translation (really anything by Sophia Coppola), The Royal Tennenbaums, Layer Cake, Grosse Pointe Blank, Batman Begins + The Dark Knight, Casino Royale (2007), Children of Men, Twilight, Harry Potter and Star Wars (I'm a bit of a Star Wars, Harry Potter and Twilight geek).

Some of my favorite musicians are Feist, Kings of Leon, Paramore, Weezer, The Postal Service, John Mayer, David Grey, Muse, Death Cab for Cutie, Laura Marling, Kelly Clarkson and Kanye West.

My favorite authors are Jeffery Eugindes, Stephenie Meyers (Yes, I am a Twilight fan), Chuck Palanuick, Neil Gaiman and Jane Austen. Some of my favorite novels are Brideshead Revisited by Evelyn Waugh, Jeffery's Eugindes The Virgin Suicides, Neil Gaiman's American Gods and Palahniuk's Fight Club. I also really enjoy graphic novels.
