About Bruce...

I live in a very exciting city! I love postcards with maps most of all.

I have one daughter who also is a member of Postcrossing and is trying to receive and send more postcards than I do. So far, I'm a little bit ahead. I love a challenge like that!

I enjoy hiking and camping and making my own outdoor gear. I am building a small sailboat. I listen to shortwave radio news broadcasts from around the world.

I am a very good cook, write poetry, and take too many pictures when I am out hiking and collect things related to the American buffalo (bison).

I love postcards that illustrate where you live, your culture and the beauty of the natural world around you. I like postcards that have maps, hiking trails (especially long-distance hiking), photos of old buildings, natural wonders, and especially anything to do with either the Boy Scouts or the American buffalo(bison). I consider homemade postcards, particularly from young people, as the highest gesture of goodwill.

Don't put postcards in envelopes, I like the postmarks and the stamps to be on the card. I understand that sometimes the postal systems can damage cards, not a major problem. Try to use more than one stamp, it makes them more interesting. I try to use as many old stamps as I can (my record is 14 stamps on one card with exact postage).

I am open to direct swaps, so if you would like a postcard from Las Vegas, let me know.
