About Rebeca...

Hey there , postcrossing fellows ! Greetings from Brasil !

My name is Rebeca , I´m a 20 years old pshycolgy graduation student from Rio de Janeiro ( what one would call a “carioca” ) .

I´ve already lived in Bufallo – NY ( USA ) and in Wichita – KS ( USA ) for a couple of years so postcrossing helps me keep up the maintenance of my english .
Postcrossing is responsible for brightening up my days as well . It´s hard to describe the excitement of opening up my mailbox and finding a foreign card there . It´s just too special .

Photography is my favorite hobby , I´ve even taken a curse at it . I carry my cameras ( digital and analog ) with me at all times , they have always been a splendid company .

Movies are the second favorite hobby , specially the old ones . “It Happened One Night” is my favorite movie , I consider the 1930´s the best film era – with all my heart . Now I´m passing trought a James Stewart fase , in fact "The Shop Around The Corner" is even on my ipod .

I also love reading , my favorite – and truly beloved - author is Jane Austen . I´m specially found of english literature : Charlotte Brontë ( and her sisters ), Elizabeth Gaskell , Dickens and so on . In addition to my “almost all-british library” I also have books from all around the world . At the moment I´m readind simultaneously “No One Rights To The Colonel” by Gabriel García Márquez ( colombian author ) and “Tempus Fugit” by Rubem Alves ( brasilian author ) .

Do I have any preferences for what to receive ? None whatsoever ! You´re free to send me the card you want to .

Once I received instead of an ordinary post a photography taken by the sender and I fell in love with it , I have absolutely no problem with receiving an photo instead of a post ( no problem at all ) . In fact , if you´re interested : we can exchange .

You can also craft something up , I love creative cards and am more than happy in receiving them .

Note : if you are from Argentina and find something related to Ricardo Siri Liniers or his cartoon slip “Macanudo” would you please send me it ? I have tried my best ( with my rusty spanish ) for several years to keep up with his slips but finally a brasilian publisher decided launch it around here . Still , I leave here an emphasized wish of receiving something , anything !

In case of any ID confusion or interested in contact , here´s my e-mail :
