About Sabrina...
Hello! I am a 43 year old American (originally from San Francisco) who immigrated to Kuopio, Finland for love eleven years ago. I have three cats, a dog and a set of nine-year-old boy/girl twins. I am an English teacher at the local community college - but don't worry, I am not really all that concerned about your grammar! I'm off duty!
It's really cold here in the winter. No really. Cold. Very cold. I just thought I would mention that. No, I do not go swimming in the ice during the winter or eat strange salty fish things. A girl has to have her limits.
Aside from the days when it is so cold that the snot freezes in my nose, I am happy living in Finland and have no plans to leave. Ever. In what spare time I have after running around all day I do a lot of reading, listen to music of all kinds (Jose Cura, The Clash, Nina Simone and Hedningarna are currently on the MP3 player) and try desperately to remember how to conjugate Finnish verbs. Which is not as easy as you'd think.
My interests include reading, writing, baking, jewelry-making, spirituality/mysticism, movies, music, and I have a collection of mermaids. I'm a fine example of a dreamy introvert, and the lone Capricorn in a family of Leos. We're all a bunch of geeks, though!
I would love any kind of postcard. Show me where you live, who you are...buy it, make it, let the baby drool on it...whatever delights you is what I want to see. No worries, I am not easily offended. That said? I do have a passion for mermaids and always appreciate new ones for my collection. But really, I'm pleased with whatever I get. (Except for the ad cards with no personal message. I'm not really thrilled with those.)
Please do send the postcard on its own and not in an envelope. Thanks!
Note: I am usually quite good at putting in postcards the day I receive them. If for some reason I don't register your card after 30 days, please contact me so I can track your card down. We have two different Postcrossers in the house, and once in awhile cards do manage to hide themselves in amongst the already registered pile. Sneaky things!
