I am a mid-twenties student of English and French, working towards a teaching degree when I'm not travelling the country or burying my nose in a book. Having spent some time abroad (ten months in England as an exchange student and more recently six months as a teaching assistant in France), I both love and dread postcards. Love as I love hearing from people - and despise as they have a tendency to fuel my wanderlust. ;-)
Don't worry about finding "the right" (i.e. funniest/most beautiful/etc) postcard - just tell me something about yourself on the back. :-) I'm a sucker for little details from other people's lives.
