About _earth_vs_soup_...
English is my native language. I can also speak, read, and write Japanese at an intermediate level and Chinese (Mandarin) at a (very much) beginner level.
My main interests are: Video games, comics, all sorts of art and crafts, older American pop music and Jazz (mostly 1920's—1950's), collecting vinyl records and making digital transfers of my Grandfather's collection of 78s, writing, horror movies, foreign films, languages, and animation, but I like lots of other things too!
I especially like postcards of:
Comics/Animation/Cartoons/Manga/Anime
Renaissance paintings
Edward Gorey art
Pysanky Eggs
Video games
The Muppets & other Jim Henson creations
Old movie posters
Tim Burton films
Traditional costumes
Wacky cards
Strange landmarks
Moomins
Vinyl Records, turntables, and albums
Old black-and-white photos and vintage cards
Don't worry if you don't have one of those though, I just really like those things.
If it's at all possible, please send me something other than a city view card. That's the most common kind of card I get, so it's very nice to get something a little more out of the ordinary.
I am okay with ad cards and homemade cards, so long as you are still able to write a short message on the back of them. In fact, I like homemade cards very much!
I send out a lot of 50's pop-art parody cards, comic cards, and art cards, as well as Alaska-themed cards. I hope that you like them!
Expired cards (all have been re-sent multiple times):
US-909320 to Macau
US-888964 to China
US-845497 to Spain
US-836353 to Germany
US-804093 to Taiwan
PLEASE DO NOT SEND ME NON-POSTCARD ITEMS, such as slips of paper, origami, or empty envelopes. You'd think this wouldn't require clarification, but... I've gotten some very odd things in the past! If you can't buy or find a postcard for some reason, I am absolutely fine with a simple homemade card. Even a cut out of a cardboard cereal box or other food box that's been trimmed down to postcard size is okay with me!
