Hello, everyone!
My name is Yulia, I'm 21. I studied Hindi and international relations in Moscow, but my native city is Yekaterinburg, which is situated on the geographical border between Europe and Asia. And now I'm a master student of Uppsala University in Sweden.

I'm fond of studying new languauges as they open me a new world and help to understand people of different nations (I also used to know German, but now unfortunatelly I can't say a word in German). And if you are sending me a card from India I would be happy to get it in Hindi, so feel free to write.

I like reading, writing (I write poems by myself though I don't do it too often), I'm a theatre goer and I like everything connected with art and culture, so if you send me postcards it'll be great to learn something new about traditions of your country and its art. I'm creative and I also like painting myself. I prefer watercolours as they are fresh and light but I also love batik - painting on silk or any other kind of fabric.

I have been with the project for about a year and what I like most about it is a chance of meeting new people and findisng new friends (I have met wonderful people here and keep in touch with them). Hope we will also become friends! I'm looking forward to meeting you.

These short letters on postcards are more natural for me that any chatting on the Net. I really appreciate when people share their emotions and not just write "happy postcrossing" - it's just borring. What I also like is whrn people write relly hearty answers whrn they get my cards - than every letter is unique and valuable but not a standard "thanks". It's a little miracle in everyday life, a piece of good mood and bright emotions!

AS FOR THE CARDS:
I wouldn't like to get ad-cards or handmade cards, but if you want to send some picturesque photoes of yours as a card feel free to do it!

In March you can send me birthday cards as my birthday's on the 13th of March.

I would like to see NATIONAL COSTUMES of your country or something very charakteristic of your nation.

Maybe smth orientalistic?)I love this culture and doing yoga when I can.

I really wish you to write a lot in the cards you send me. You can tell me a bit about yourself, what you do, advise me a good english /hindi movie to see. Do you have any dreams? - tell me!

It'll be amazing to learn something new about your country, it'll be cool to read something about your national traditions that are not very famous all over the world.
